Quirky cottage with a lovely view of the countryside. The nearby airport was a reminder of how close we were to escapades and yet we felt completely secluded. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of free parking available, which is rarer than spotting a unicorn in the city.
Dog hair.

Lovely host, like a personal assistant but less creepy. Great location, perfect for a weekend getaway or exploring. Cozy and comfortable, like wearing a cashmere sweater while napping on a cloud. Ideal for couples or families.
Not a fan of the free dog hair and dirty crockery. But hey, who needs hot water for washing up?

The cottage was absolutely incredible with its spaciousness, cleanliness, and fantastic amenities. The outdoor space was mind-blowing, complete with high-quality garden furniture and a BBQ. It was the perfect secure space for our dogs. The location on a working farm was super interesting, and the nearby village offered an excellent range of pubs, cafes, and walks. We especially enjoyed visiting the famous Arkwright Mills and the stunning village church. The whole experience was jaw-dropping and we would highly recommend it for a comfortable and value-for-money break away. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, and the accommodation had everything we needed. The outdoor area was a real suntrap and had beautiful character features. our stay was simply amazing!

We loved the well-equipped accommodation, especially the lovely outdoor area which served as a suntrap. The cottage's unique features added to its charm, making our stay even more enjoyable. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The location on a working farm was fascinating, and we had the opportunity to see adorable baby calves during a tour. Additionally, the cottage was conveniently located close to the village, offering a great selection of pubs, cafes, and beautiful walking paths. We also enjoyed exploring the nearby Arkwright Mills and the charming village church. Barn Owl Cottage provided a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable experience.
Drawbacks: Although our stay was impeccable, we did notice a few minor inconveniences. The cleanliness of the cottage could have been better, as we found quite a bit of dog hair on the floors and lounge rug.
